The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Cultural Events Department with a staff of 7 works to promote Choctaw culture to Tribal members and the community through a variety of means. The Cultural Events Department hosts many Classes for the community and Tribal employees on beading, basketry, dress making, and corn husk doll making. They travel across the county to host Community meetings in many major cities across the country as well as host events like Choctaw Days at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. Additionally the Cultural Events department host the Choctaw Nation's Tvshka Homma Stickball Team which competes in many tournments throughout the year.
